PANJIM: Santa Cruz MLA Atanasio Babush Monserrate has declared that his panel has decided to support Surendra Furtado for the post of Mayor of Corporation of the City of Panaji, for a second term.
Kabir Makhija Pinto will also be supported by the Babush panel for post of deputy mayor.
Furtado will file his nomination today, Tuesday, Monserrate declared.
When asked about the prospects of his panel in the Taleigao village panchayat elections, Monserrate challenged anyone to win a single seat from Taleigao panchayat. He expressed supreme confidence that his panel would win all the seats.
