The fifth batch of 150 MBBS degree course seats will now be conducted without any hassles with this approval granted a year in advance.
GMC Dean Dr Pradeep Naik confirmed the news stating they received a letter from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare confirming 150 seats for the next academic year. “It said they have accepted the recommendation of the MCI to grant the approval. We are happy with the development,” he told Herald.
The MCI team had recently inspected the infrastructural facilities at the complex including the just-commissioned three gallery type lecture halls – two having seating capacity of 300 each and one with 350 seating capacity, and a new girls’ hostel with 104 rooms.
