Meat Complex to start by August 22: Mauvin

Animal Husbandry Minister Mauvin Godinho on Wednesday assured the House that operations at the Goa Meat Complex would start by August 22, in time for Bakri-id.
After coming in for severe criticism for non-functioning of the complex,  Godinho replying on the cut motions on Animal Husbandry said there are many issues involving GMC. “We need to take all three permissions again, like Factories and Broilers, Goa State Pollution Control Board and FSSAI,” he said.
The minister said they are working on it. “This government is serious on the issue and believes in carrying all sections of the society together. We believe in sabka saath sabka vikas,” he said.
