Mechanised fishing case is getting compromised: Union

MARGAO: In a complaint filed before the Coastal Police, Fisheries Department, the All Goa Small Scale Responsible Fisheries Union (AGSSRFU) has wanted action against a person who has been impersonating the police and calling their members in a bid to negotiate a compromise regarding the Union’s complaints about illegal mechanized fishing activities in the Zuari River.

It may be recalled that recently the Union had submitted digital evidence of such illegal fishing to the authorities and had also raised this issue in the High Court.
