PANJIM: A media sensitisation workshop on Ebola will be conducted on November 13 at 3 pm in the seminar room of the Directorate of Health Services at Campal Panjim. Besides, the directorate has also issued guidelines on Direct Patient Care in case of a suspected case of the virus.
The State Level Core Committee reviewed the status of the Ebola Virus outbreak in West Africa and surveillance and preparedness to combat the disease in the State, at a meeting held recently.
Till date no case of Ebola virus has been reported from anywhere in India, including Goa. No passenger of any category has traveled from Ebola affected countries to Goa since October 2, 2014. A total of 39 doctors and 31 nurses & paramedical staffs trained during the week.
