PONDA: Adv Rabindra Ghosh, President of ‘Bangladesh Minority Watch’ said the situation of Hindus in Bangladesh is pathetic as incidents such as rapes on Hindu women, looting and arson, vandalising temples, etc. have become the common. The population of Hindus which was 18-20% at the time of the creation of Bangladesh has reduced to meagre 1-8%.
“The Bangladesh Government is inactive in protecting Hindus. The Indian Government should abandon its indolence and make efforts to protect Hindus in Bangladesh. We will fight until death to create a safe environment for Hindus in Bangladesh” said Adv Ghosh while speaking at the first session of the second day of the 8th All India Convention for the ‘Hindu Nation’ on at Vidyadhiraj Meeting Hall of Shri Ramnath Temple.
Ajay Singh, International President of ‘World Hindu Federation’ said, “To seek justice for Hindus, it is necessary for Hindus to unite. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti is doing excellent work to awaken Hindus in India by imparting education on dharma”.
“Secular Democracy was imposed on Nepal by hatching a conspiracy. China is making efforts to annex Nepal. Hundreds of churches are active in converting Hindus and Buddhists in Nepal to Christianity. When democracy was adopted in Kashmir, the people raised the voice to declare Nepal as the ‘Hindu Nation’ in its Constitution. However, the word ‘secular’ was inserted in the Nepali Constitution at the eleventh hour and thereby people were stabbed in the back. Anti-India forces in Nepal are getting stronger since Nepal became secular,” alleged HJS coordinator Gururaj Prabhu from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
“Our nation is going through a very difficult time. Hindus are compelled to face gigantic challenges of the likes of religious conversions. In this situation, we need to travel nook and corner of the country to protect dharma. Science has progressed but it’s directionless and in such a situation only dharma and spirituality can protect the nation. Elders should guide youngsters in this regard, said H H Mahant Shriramgyanidasji Maharaj from Gondia (Maharashtra) while speaking on ‘Religious Conversions – Challenges and solutions’.
All the speakers called for strong action against religious conversions.
BJP-led govt must fulfil Ram Temple assurance, says HJS
The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has demanded that the BJP-led government should fulfil its assurance during in the Lok Sabha elections with regards to construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya.
Speaking at the 8th All India convention the ‘Hindu Nation’ in Ponda on Wednesday, Dr Charudatta Pingale of HJS alleged that the Supreme Court adopted “delaying tactics” with regards to hearing the petition on the temple. Pingale recalled that Hindus had expected that the BJP government would have promulgated an ordinance on building Ram Temple during its earlier tenure.
“Therefore, the government is expected to make efforts to fulfil the assurance,” he said, warning that Hindus would feel betrayed if this assurance is not fulfilled.
He praised the BJP government for renaming Allahabad to ‘Prayagraj’ and for organising the Kumbha Mela.
The Ayodhya issue was a key theme with ‘Hindu Front for Justice’ president Adv Hari Shankar Jain warning that the Hindu community of the country would launch a nationwide agitation if the temple is not built. “The BJP Government should promulgate an ordinance at least now and clear the path of building the Ram Temple,” he added.
Earlier, a lamp was lit at the hands of H H Bhagirathi Maharaj to launch the convention.
On the first day of the Convention, over 240 delegates of various organisations from India and Bangladesh were present. They protested the arrest of Adv Sanjiv Punalekar by the CBI in the Dabholkar murder case.
