VASCO: A special orientation programme for the locals of Vasco was organised in the Mormugao Municipality on Monday, where a social group spoke about the means to tackle garbage in an eco-friendly and efficient manner.
The awareness programme was organised by Mormugao Municipal Council in association with Social Awareness and Action for Development (SAAD), a Nagpur based organisation, which is working on the project ‘Mission Zero Garbage’.
While welcoming all the stakeholders, Chief Officer Agnelo A. Fernandes emphasised on the need for each citizen to be responsible towards creating a healthy environment.
