VASCO: A special meeting was held on Friday with concerned authorities to finalise the procedure to start industries from April 20 and issue travel passes to commence industrial activity in Industrial Estates and Rural Areas.
In a press release issued by Damodar Kochkar, head of the Goa State Industries Association (GSIA), has mentioned that lot of emphasis “is given by State authorities to make the procedure as simple as possible so that the industrial activities can be started by April 20”.
During discussion, there were few recommendations, such as industries in industrial estates and in rural areas that want to start activity from April 20, have to submit below forms at https://forms.gle/SVigsABQJdMGR7pd6.
Secondly, GSIA will post the format for an undertaking, which needs to be printed on the company letterhead, duly signed and stamped by an authorised person.
Travel stickers, the release adds, have to be collected from the concerned Field Manager of GIDC by producing the above undertaking. Industries outside the industrial estate should indicate to which industrial estate they want to tie up with for collection of stickers.
For the units which already have permission from the Collector to operate, they will also have to submit the same form if they need vehicle stickers.
For employees coming on foot they can show their ID cards, else companies can issue separate permits on their letterhead. Further queries can be addressed to GSIA at gsiagoa@gmail.com.
