MARGAO: The Aquem residents met the Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai over the problems they have been facing due to the traffic congestion near the new Vishal Megamart.
The residents told Vijai that they have been facing a lot of inconvenience due to the increase in vehicular traffic and the shopping complex does not have adequate parking facility.
“The mart is of four floors and the underground parking is only for 40 vehicles of which half is being used as a warehouse of the mart and the rest is occupied by the staff of the mart. These vehicles too are huge in number forcing the people coming to the mart to park on roadsides, Andrew Sequeira, an Aquem resident, said.
