Vaz was suspended after an assault on jail inmates last year. The officer’s suspension was extended till November 6, 2016. However, upon his request the disciplinary authority has revoked the suspension. Sources said that the suspension has been revoked pending inquiry.
Melwyn Vaz suspension revoked
PANJIM: The suspension of former Colvale Jail superintendent Melwyn Vaz has been revoked by the State government.
