MARGAO: The General Council has resolved to demand a Vigilance inquiry into the expenditure incurred by Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, from 2014 to 2017.
The resolution was passed during a meeting of the council on Thursday, which witnessed angry discussions.
The members were angry that Ravindra Bhavan sponsored events even at Vasco Ravindra Bhavan,
The members took exception to the manner in which lakhs of rupees were spent on events and cultural programmes beyond the Salcete taluka. The members alleged that the talukas where money has been sponsored and spent have their own Ravindra Bhavans already functioning. The resolution demanding the inquiry was proposed by Samir Kamat.
