While interacting with the teachers and
parents across the state virtually Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that the merger of schools will be only after taking parents & teachers into
confidence. “I have no intention of closing schools and it is not good when students of different
class levels study in one classroom at some schools due to a lack of students and
teachers,” said Sawant.
He further added that the government is thinking about
mergers only in the interest of students and the schools should work to increase the number of students to avoid closure or merger.
