The entrance of Keri beach is giving a messy welcome to the tourists visiting it. Garbage is dumped at the very entrance marring the locale. Considered a peaceful beach plastic bags as well as other garbage is being dumped at the road side near the Ajoba Temple.
Sources said that since the garbage of the beach is being cleaned by Beach cleaning workers, the garbage at the entrance comes from residences in the vicinity. The absence of garbage bins in the area results in tourists, visitors as well as locals dumping garbage which gets cleaned only when some local sets it on fire.
One visitor Maygal Nazareth said,” It is very sad to see the entrance of the beach in bad condition. The entrance of the beach is full of plastic bags littered. No dustbins were around. I would like the Goa Government to take initiative and dispose the garbage as soon as possible to avoid diseases”.
