The locals of Vasco have demanded the removal of metal-framed banners fixed on electricity poles along the roads stating that it poses a danger to motorists. Activist Xencor Polji said that the metal frames for the banners are placed quite low and can lead to accidents. Polji has requested the Mormugao Municipal council and the electricity dept to remove the banners or place them at a higher level.
