PONDA: ‘Rising Ponda’ panel, backed by the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) has announced its candidature for 12 seats in the upcoming Ponda Municipal Council Election. Ketan Bhatikar, along with his 12 candidates, addressed the media on Thursday, stating that despite political pressure, threats, and offers, their panel remains firm and focused on victory.
Bhatikar mentioned that voters from one ward have been spread across multiple wards, making it challenging for his panel, but they are determined to succeed. Despite numerous political pressure tactics to withdraw from the contest, he hopes to secure all 12 seats.
“All of our candidates are well-educated, sincere, and some are former councillors. They are contesting the polls without buckling under any pressure from rival political parties” he claimed.
