PANJIM: The Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party’s Central Committee along with 12 candidates met at Belgaum and voted to contest the ensuing Assembly elections unitedly thus putting the ongoing rumours of pre-poll talks with the BJP to rest.
Posting the decision on the social media, Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party president Deepak Dhavalikar said, “All are united and will contest under Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party and fight against Bharatiya Janata Party. No one is going to leave the party.”
Besides Dhavalikar, his brother Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavalikar, former MLA Naresh Sawal, Jit Arolkar, Pravin Arlekar, Mahesh Satelkar, Premendra Shet, Ketan Bhatikar, Sanket Naik Mule, Vinayak Gauns and Anand Prabhudesai attended the meeting.
Central Committee members Pratap Phadte and Anant Naik were also present.
