MAYEM: The hearing on Mhadai water dispute will come up before the Mhadai Water Dispute Tribunal in New Delhi on Tuesday.
It may be recalled that the Tribunal under the leadership of Justice Panchal had visited areas in Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka to study the Mhadai dispute issue.
The panel also studied the alleged irregularities carried out by Karnataka and Maharashtra, while taking up the projects of Kalsa canal in Kankunbi and the Virdi dam in Maharashtra.
The team had objected to these works on grounds that the work had begun without obtaining proper permissions.
Meanwhile, Goa on Monday opened its working office at Chanakya Puri in New Delhi, which was inaugurated by Advocate General Atmaram Nadkarni, stated environmentalist Rajendra Kerkar.
