PANJIM: The Mhadei Sampada Raksha Yatra, an initiative of Goa Surksha Manch to create awareness among the people, will culminate on Wednesday with a huge rally slated to be held at Azad Maidan.
GSM’s Ganesh Gaonkar said its members held rally across the villages – closer to Mhadei — to make people aware of the importance of Mhadei River. “The issue is very serious and the government is taking it lightly,” he alleged at a press conference.
Over a month ago, a team of GSM had inspected Kankumbi village and found out that Karnataka was carrying out water diversion.
