PANJIM: Nothing could be more disappointing for the leader who was in the forefront to bring back the now-chief minister Manohar Parrikar from Delhi, than not being sworn in on Tuesday.
But, Calangute MLA Michael Lobo is, however, not upset over the development and expects to be inducted in the cabinet during the expansion.
“I am happy that BJP was able to form the government despite having 13 seats. We had to touch the magic figure of 21 and we managed through coalition partners,” he told Herald after the swearing in of 10 ministers including CM Parrikar.
The second time MLA is hopeful that he would be inducted in the cabinet expansion. “I want to be in the cabinet but the discretion lies with the CM. Only two are left to be included in the cabinet,” he said.
Lobo played a major role in the formation of this government, leading the chorus for the return of Parrikar and also bringing the regional parties to the BJP fold.
The expansion is tentatively scheduled in April after the budget session of the Legislative Assembly.
