The Sessions court has granted permission to former Tourism Minister, Mickky Pacheco to travel to the UAE between November 10-14.
Granting the application filed by the Benaulim MLA, Additional Sessions Judge Vijaya Pol directed the investigating officer of the Crime Branch to release Pacheco’s passport.
The Judge, however, directed the former Minister to deposit the passport back to the investigating agency within two days after his return to the State.
Pacheco was further directed to give his new cell phone number to the investigating agency before proceeding abroad.
The former Tourism Minister is required under the bail condition granted to him in the Nadia Torrado death case to seek the permission of the court while travelling abroad. Pacheco had earlier sought permission of the court to travel to Delhi for various reasons.
Meanwhile, sources in the Crime Branch informed that investigations into the Nadia Torrado death case are still continuing and the chargesheet will be filed in the court after the investigations are complete.
Sources said the investigating agency is awaiting various reports sent to the forensic laboratory to further investigate the matter. “There is no time limit to file the chargesheet when the accused persons are on bail. The investigating agency is investigating thoroughly”, he said.
