MARGAO: Former Minister Mickky Pacheco dropped a bombshell declaring that he may contest the by-elections from Curchorem if there is a vacancy there however clarified that he will not be contesting against Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar in any other constituency.
Speaking to media persons he said he was in the process of preparing for the next elections and hence has been moving to different constituencies to scout for candidates.
“My supporters in Curchorem suggested that I contest from there since there is going to be a vacancy there,” he said adding that he is yet to decide which party candidate he would be.
While pointing out that there was time to prepare for the next elections he said his offices in Nuvem constituency are still functioning but he is yet to decide whether he would contest from Nuvem the next general elections.
He reiterated that his supporters from Curchorem had asked him to consider contesting from there if there is a vacancy created in that constituency.
