MARGAO: Goa Vikas Party (GVP) Supremo and Nuvem MLA Micky Pacheco on Sunday opened offices at Loutulim and Nuvem villages on Sunday.
The offices were blessed by the respective Parish priest Fr Boulais da Costa and assistant parish priest Fr Constancio Carvalho in the presence of Micky, GVP president Viola Pacheco, Goa Meat Complex chairman, Lyndon Monteiro, local panchayat members and villagers. Benaulim MLA Caetano R Silva alias Caitu was present at Nuvem.
Micky told the media that that the office will remain open from 9 am to 5 am on all working days and that he shall visit the Loutulim office every Tuesday and Nuvem office every Wednesday and Friday of the week between 10.30 am to 12.30 noon.
He said that villagers from respective village can approach him with their grievances during his visit while adding that the offices will be manned by his staff to attend to the problems of the electorate from these villages. “I have opened these offices to facilitate the electorate to approach the office at their place and save the inconvenience to travel all the way to his Betalbatim residence office particularly for the benefit of senior citizens who need not have to travel to Betalbatim”, he said.
The office staff, he said, will be imparted training to dish out information on various government schemes. The MLA stated that villagers are also free to approach him at his office at Betalbatim. On the occasion the MLA distributed sampling to the villagers.
