MARGAO: Expressing shock over the Nuvem robbery, local MLA and RDA Minister Mickky Pacheco has said he would give instruction to the police to intensify the tenant verification by involving the local Panchayat body.
Mickky who visited the house and spoke to the relatives of the injured later told the media that many migrants and tenants are putting up in the Nuvem village and their antecedents need to be verified. “I have information that people keep tenants in their rooms without getting the antecedents of these people verified. They neither give information to the police nor the panchayat. This is a serious thing”, he said.
, adding that he would instruct the police to get the antecedents of the tenants verified with the local panchayat body.
