CM Sawant assured the House that the government will not discontinue the services of the Self Help Groups (SHG) supplying mid-day meals to school students across Goa. “However, in those cases where SHGs stop supply, we will replace them,” he said. He brought to the notice of the House members how 5,000 students in Canacona taluka had to go without meals for more than two months due the SHG suddenly stopping its supply.
“What should we do in such a situation? We have to make some decisions,” he said.
