MiG crashes at Dabolim airport; pilot escapes

The series of MiG crashes continues as yet another MiG, a fighter
plane of Indian Navy crashed during a normal practice session on Wednesday
morning at Dabolim airport in Vasco. Sources informed that the fighter aircraft
failed to take off and crashed 200 meters away from the runway. All senior
naval officers and several fire tenders are currently at the site. All flights are likely to be delayed at Goa Airport as the runway is closed for operations due to Indian Navy’s urgent operational requirements, says AAI. The crash was reported just 10 minutes prior to the commencement of civil flight operations(12.20 pm) due to which routine civilian flights operations at Dabolim will be affected.
