Milind asks contractor to speed up Baina beautification work

VASCO: Power Minister Milind Naik on Sunday directed the contractor of the Baina beach beautification and upgrading project to speed up the work.

Naik inspected the site along with the contractor, who has been allocated the first phase upgrading and beautification work, estimated to cost Rs 2.30 crore.
He has expressed satisfaction with the work of the contractor and maintained that the beach will be illuminated to attract tourists.
Naik has also disclosed that priority will be given to the construction of changing room and toilets, which are the needs of tourists arriving at the beach. He stressed on cleanliness in and around the vicinity of the beach.
He has also directed Gammon India Pvt Ltd to take up cleanliness works in and around the Ravindra Bhavan and Baina beach to make Baina beach one of the most attractive beaches in the State.
Naik later visited the dismantled shade of Drishti Special Response, which he had directed to shift to another location due to the proposed Baina beach beautification work.
