“Both (government and the military) have to work out a win-win solution. We are in talks with them. First of all, we have to gain confidence. The military has in principle shown willingness to give part of the land to us,” he said.
Last year the State government had attempted to find an amicable solution to taking over the land in Panjim municipal market area currently occupied by the military for the 2 Signal Training Centre (STC). Kunkalienkar said the government is working on the proposal as various things are being sorted out based on the requirements of the military as well.
