PORVORIM: Urban Development Minister Milind Naik, curtailed his replies and responded to only those MLAs who were still seated in the House. Naik gave several assurances that include agreeing to see that the pension for seafarers begins from the date of January; that a committee would be formed to thoroughly review the municipal amendment bill; and that temporary workers with municipalities would be regularised.
He tried to counter the argument put forward by MGP MLA Sudin Dhavalikar about the low revenue and capital expenditure by government departments and defended how they have been working.
He further provided updates about several ongoing development works in various constituencies such as repairs and construction of ferries, Lohia Maidan in Margao and rural projects in Sanguem.
