Min lays stone for reservoir at Usgao

PONDA: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane laid the foundation stone for constructing a 800 cubic metre water reservoir at Ganonkarwada Usgao. The Government had already proposed to construct 25 MLD water treatment Plant at Usgao.

The water from Ganjem (Mhadei) river water will reportedly be pumped for the proposed water treatment Plant at Ganonkarwada. The new water tank will be constructed at around Rs 80 lakh. Officials said total Rs 48. 46 lakhs are sanctioned for the 25 MLD Plant coming up at Usgao. PWD is acquiring around 8700 square metres of land for the project beside local Usgao Communidade had also provided NOC for 5000 square metre land to set up water tanks. Local Panch members, ZP member and officials of Usgao Comunidade were also present for function.

Later Rane later said after commissioning of the Water treatment plant Usgao locals will get 24×7 water supply.

“The work on water treatment plant will commence from March 2021 and will be completed in one year’s time,” Rane said.

 Minister Rane also said that he is planning beautification of Usgao and also making effort to bring overall development of this village including improvement of roads and power supply.
