BICHOLIM: The mining dependents and truck owners on Monday hailed the dump policy of the government and called for implementing it at the earliest.
Addressing a press conference, Sandeep Parab said if the policy is implemented in right manner even the environment would be taken care of.
“We want that the dump policy should be immediately implemented and we appreciate the Chief Minister. All the issues of truck owners have been dealt with by the Chief Minister and we are with him,” Parab said.
He said the policy should not just be during the election and there should be no politics on the mining issue by anyone.
He said mining will resume for at least three to four years if this dump policy is implemented.
“The workers will be taken care of and almost all the dependents will benefited if this policy is implemented,” Parab said.
Satyawan Parab, Vinod Pednekar, Vithal Gawas and others were present for the press conference.
