PANJIM: Stating that the process to set up a mining corporation has begun, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that various procedures are underway and that once that is completed, all mining related matters would be settled in stages.
Sawant was responding to queries from media persons on the status of plans to resume mining in the State and if all the legal related issues that have halted mining so far are being resolved.
“The process to set up a mining corporation is underway, and if all goes as planned once the corporation is set, things related to mining will be settled in a timely manner. The (State) government has taken the necessary steps to resume mining by setting the mining corporation at the earliest. The government is serious about this,” Sawant said.
