PONDA: Priol MLA and Cooperation Minister Govind Gaude on Tuesday said Ponda police have exposed the four youth who had opened fake social accounts to defame him. Gaude said that the youth confessed to the police that the fake accounts were done at the instance of an aspiring politician from Priol.
Gaude said opening fake social media accounts and defaming others is a serious cyber crime, but minister said he did not want the youth to be misled. He said that the four youth were let off after they gave an undertaking to the cops that they would not repeat such mistakes in the future.
Gaude also urged parents to remain alert from such politicians who are misguiding their children and also warned the Priol youth not to fall prey to the instigation of such politicians, who, he said, will ruin their future.
“This so called BJP aspirant who wants to contest from Priol misused the youth to divide the society for political gains,” Gaude said, adding that his banners were also damaged in Priol.
