Minister Francis leaves for treatment

PANJIM: Minister for Urban Development and Mapusa MLA Francis D’Souza on Sunday left for Mumbai, from where he will be heading to the US for medical treatment. 
Sources reveal that D’Souza along with his family left for Mumbai on Sunday afternoon and from there he will be living for the US on Monday evening. 
D’Souza, whose ailment has not been disclosed, will be seeking treatment in US-based Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, where currently Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is undergoing treatment. Parrikar is expected to be back in Goa on August 22. 
Sources reveal that D’Souza has communicated to CMO that he will be out of Country for a period of one month for medical treatment. 
Former deputy Chief Minister’s has been major health issues for more than a month now. Last month he was admitted in Lilavati hospital and had not attended the monsoon session of the State Assembly.
