Minister urges locals to follow safety norms

VASCO: Urban Development Minister Milind Naik on Monday urged locals to follow the safety norms strictly by sanitising, maintaining personal hygiene and social distancing. 

Naik appealed to people not to link the coronavirus pandemic to any religion and called upon them to fight it collectively.

On  the sidelines of BJP Diwas, Naik urged locals to follow all the safety norms suggested by the government strictly and not to oppose its decisions which have been taken in the interest of the larger good of the people during this testing time.

Naik said, “It is sad to see that still some people try to move against the government and I request them not to do so.” Citing the recent Nizamuddin episode, he said there has been a sense of unhappiness and there are different news. “I appeal to the people not to link the coronavirus pandemic to any religion or faith and it is essential that we must fight the issue collectively. People must stay back home so that they are safe “. 

Mormugao BJP Mandal president Sanjay Satardekar said this was the 40th Year after the BJP was formed. 

“We have offered floral tributes to our senior party leaders who have been instrumental in forming the party that has now given good governance to the State and the country,” said Satardekar
