Emerging from the 30-minute meeting at the CM’s private residence in Dona Paula, Khaunte said the chief minister looked good. “What can I say? He chaired the meeting and chaired it effectively,” Khaunte said, suggesting that the CM discussed each and every item on the agenda threadbare.
However, he was unsure about when the CM would return to office. “I am not sure about when he will resume office that is for CMO to decide,” he replied.

Earlier, Speaker Pramod Sawant also expressed similar views. “I was with him for about 20 minutes and he was fine and spoke on all topics,” he said, refusing to give any details of the meeting.
