PANJIM: Ministers from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), ally Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) and Opposition leaders united in condemning the attack by the ruling party against church priests for their South Goa defeat during the recent Lok Sabha elections.
If the BJP agreed with Archbishop Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao that people should vote for a secular party; if the BJP also agreed with Cardinal Ferrao that people should not take the train to Vailankani on polling day and instead should exercise their right to vote, then why did the saffron party blame the “dharmagurus” and polarisation for the defeat of their South Goa candidate?
