CANACONA: A 16-year-old minor boy was arrested and sent to Apna Ghar at Merces for kidnapping a 22-year old girl at Chaudi in Canacona.
According to Canacona police, the boy approached the victim girl at Chaudi town and forcibly made her to sit on his scooter. And on reaching Dumane on the way to Agonda, the girl sensed trouble as the boy deviated from the main road and took a muddy road towards uninhabited area.
Taking advantage of the two-wheeler slowing down, the girl tried to escape by alighting from the scooter. However, the boy forcibly held the hand of the girl and after a scuffle she freed herself from his grip and escaped to the main road where she was helped by a passerby from Agonda.
The passerby later called the Canacona police who arrested the minor boy and sent him to Apna Ghar at Merces.
The police have registered a case against the boy under Section 366 of IPC. PSI Tukaram Chavan is investigation under the guidance of Canacona PI Rajendra Prabhudesai.
