VASCO: In what could be a potentially dreadful outcome for the parents, a nine-year-old boy was seriously injured after falling from a hill with a scooter at New Vaddem, here on Thursday.
As his parents and relatives were busy at a family function, the minor boy without the notice of his father started the non-geared two-wheeler parked outside the house with keys left in the ignition.
The boy then accelerated which sent the scooter hurtling down the hill to the road below. The scooter narrowly missed another bike which was moving on the road.
The boy who received severe injuries was rushed to sub-district hospital at Chicalim and later was referred to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Bambolim, for further medical treatment.
