A Purchase Committee meeting was called on June 2, 2020. At the onset of the meeting, it was brought to the notice of the committee members by the Chairman that the meeting has been called in order to discuss regarding the supply of 200 ventilators model Trilogy 202, make Philips, required for treatment of COVID -19 patients at Goa Medical College & Hospital from the District Minerals Foundation Funds
It was informed by the Dean, GMC that during the pandemic the Goa Medical College was asked to make provisions to purchase the ventilators for patients care. Goa Medical College placed the order for 60 ventilators to Rescare Medisys Pvt Ltd based on the recent tender finalised. However, the company had informed their inability to supply the ventilators due to ongoing COVID -19 epidemic crisis.
Meantime the government booked purchase of 200 ventilators – model Trilogy 202, make Philips, from a private agency (Innovative Medicare Technologies Pvt Ltd, Mohali -160055) to Goa Medical College, Bambolim-Goa costing Rs 16,30,72,000 from the District Mineral Foundation fund. After seeking government approval the purchase order was placed to the firm on March 30, 2020 with the condition that delivery should be immediately.
Now, this office received a letter from the same agency that Company is offering high-end ventilator Trilogy EVO-OBM as a combination to the ordered model. And the company requested that the approval be given at the earliest. HOD, Anesthesiology has approved the high-end ventilators. The matter was placed before the Committee Members and the Members accepted the offer of the Company,
