Authorities in Goa have imposed restrictions on individuals involved in the Mirabag protest following their release. Police served notices under Section 35 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and recorded statements as part of preventive action. Protesters have been instructed not to enter within 500 metres of the Assembly premises during the ongoing session. They have also submitted a surety bond to ensure compliance with the imposed conditions. Additionally, the group must report daily to Curchorem Police Station between 10 am and 12 pm until the Assembly session concludes. Officials stated that the steps are intended to maintain peace and security around the Assembly complex. The Mirabag protest had earlier sparked tension, leading authorities to adopt precautionary measures to avoid any disruption during legislative proceedings and ensure smooth functioning of the Assembly.
