A 17-year-old girl from a housing colony in Miramar was gang raped between Monday night and Tuesday morning allegedly by four youth.
PI Francisco Corte said medical test on the girl at the Goa Medical College has confirmed there was sexual intercourse.
Corte said the girl went missing on February 2 and a missing report was filed the same day at the Town Police Station, here. On February 3 there was a call from Porvorim stating the girl was found there, he stated. It is learnt the four youth named as Baba, Ashraf, Rishi and Santesh Kankonar had taken the girl to Mapusa and then Porvorim where she was gang raped by them in a house.
Santesh has been arrested and the police are interrogating him. The girl’s statement would be recorded tomorrow in the presence of an NGO.
