MARGAO: Some miscreants on Wednesday night blocked the ring road resulting delay students reaching in school on Thursday morning.
Ever since work on the road was completed till Comba, it has become a place for drinking and anti-social activities. The same hasn’t stopped till date. The antisocial activities still continue on the road due to absence of illumination and patrolling road. The result, some persons blocked the Margao-Comba stretch of the ring road with huge pipes and stones.
The same was noticed when parents came to drop their children in schools and colleges. Many of them were inconvenienced and had to take a detour to reach Comba.
The Fatorda police, with the help of some locals, cleared the road for traffic. People who were affected due to the roadblock demand that continuous police patrolling be maintained along with the repairs of the road and also illumination to deter any such activities in future.
