PANJIM: Timely arrival of fire brigage saved a house and a transformer from being burnt as miscreants set fire to dry grass at Coimavaddo, Quitla, in Aldona in the intervening night of February 15 and 16.
Although the fire brigade could not enter the field, the Fire and Emergency Services personnel reached the field and put out the fire.
Speaking to reporters, Aldona MLA Adv Carlos Ferreira said that a local resident called the fire brigade which was prompt and the fire was doused soon. He has requested people not to set fire to dry grass in such a manner.
