CANACONA: The body of a 53-year-old man from Mastimoll in Canacona, who was missing since Sunday, was found floating in a lake at Shristal on Monday.
Pradeep Desai, 53 a resident of Mastimoll went reportedly missing from his house since Sunday. A missing complaint was filed at Canacona Police Station on the same day.
Police said that they received a call from an unidentified person that a body is floating in a small lake at Sristhal.
The police team later retrieved the body and the family members of the deceased identified him.
After the panchanama, the body was sent for post-mortem at T B Hospital in Margao.
Police said that doctors will conduct post mortem on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case of unnatural death and investigation is in progress to find out if there was any foul play.
