MAPUSA: Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte on Saturday requested for Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant’s permission to voluntary implement lockdown in Porvorim Constituency.
In a written letter to the Chief Minister, Khaunte stated that Penha de Franca and Salvador do Mundo Village Panchayats have declared nine days complete lockdown to break the chain of spreading COVID infection in Porvorim since the constituency is one of the super-spreaders in State.
