VASCO: Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha on Saturday welcomed the decision of the Bombay High Court at Goa to keep the Mini India Park Project at Quelossim on hold, based on the stop-work order and showcause notice issued by the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) in 2019.
Saldanha said she has been with the people of Quelossim fighting against this project since inception.
“I cannot allow the destruction of the village and its environment as this Mini India Park project is proposed in a khazan land which is a No Development Zone (NDZ),” she said.
“I welcome the stand of the High Court vis-à-vis the project with great relief,” Saldanha added.
