MARGAO: Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardessai on Saturday inspected the newly built St Francis Xavier Church site at Madel and the location of the proposed Night Food Market, near KTC bus stand. Vijai after the inspection said that the construction of the SFX Chapel is a unique project and one of the only projects in Post-Liberation Goa wherein the local community, the church, on its own voluntarily has decided to relocate in an alternate area.
“We have completed this project and we want to inaugurate the chapel which is in the name of St Francis Xavier,” he told.
It will be inaugurated on November 23. The Night Food Market, which was promised for a long time, will be inaugurated on October 2. Vijai also said that they want to complete and inaugurate the “Manohar Parrikar Road” on December 13, on the birth anniversary of Manohar Parrikar.
