MARGAO: On the occasion of Goa Liberation Day, Goa Forward Party president and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai inaugurated a dedicated hearse van and three mobile morgues for the Fatorda Constituency under the initiative We For Fatorda. Dean of Rachol Seminary Fr Victor Ferrao, Fr Kinley D’Cruz blessed the van and mobile morgues in presence of Usha Sardesai, the founder of Women of Fatorda, and former Fatorda councillors.
The Fatorda MLA said, “We For Fatorda has launched three mobile morgues and a hearse van. 10 years ago we had started this service free of cost for the people of Fatorda.”
He said, “Dignity in death should be given to the people who die and it’s my commitment as a public representative to continue the work which I have been doing for the last 10 years.”
