VASCO: Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha on Tuesday refuted the allegations made by Minister of Panchayat Mauvin Godinho that due to the objections raised by the MLA on doubling of railway tracks has delayed the work of the new parallel bridge at Shantinagar, here.
She claimed that the existing over bridge at Shantinagar-New Vaddem is small and the new parallel over bridge at this site could have easily been taken up by the Railway authority or even the State government, had the proposal for this infrastructure by the concerned MLA reached anyone of these authorities well in time. However, this has not happened in spite of the passage of time and obviously he is now looking for subterfuges to condole his lapse,” Saldanha opined.
