VASCO: Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha on Saturday accused Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho of acting “childish” for sidelining her and a group of Sancoale panchas at the recent function at held in Dabolim with regards to land donated for constructing a new panchayat ghar in the village.
Addressing a press conference along with a group of Sancoale panchas, Alina said that she will take up the issue with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant.
Expressing shock over such moves in her constituency, the Cortalim MLA questioned the minister and Sancoale sarpanch Girish Pillai why a local legislator was sidelined at the function.
Panch Narayan Naik and Ramakant Borkar alleged that a group of panchas were not invited for the function with regards to handing over land documents to panchayat minister. Secondly, having such programme in Dabolim constituency when the panchayat ghar is supposed to come in Sancoale and not taking local MLA Alina into confidence when the development is going to happen in Cortalim constituency is unfair move.
